Pedalon is a type of exercise bike made by the company of the same name.

History[edit]

The Pedalon screen.

Marge wanted a Pedalon exercise bike after seeing an advert for it. Homer then bought one for Marge from the Pedalon shop on a payment plan, along with the lessons, water bottle, and special shoes. Homer then struggled to get the box into the house and then struggled to assemble it, somehow managing to get trapped inside the bike as he did. Eventually, Marge assembled the bike herself.

Marge chose Jesse as her instructor and started to cycle. She struggled at first and wanted to quit, but Jesse gave her some encouraging words so she kept at it. Marge then became addicted to the bike, spending all her free time cycling on it. This led to problems between her and Homer, with Homer feeling like Marge was cheating on him with Jesse.

Eventually, Homer tracked down Jesse's house and went to beat him up. Marge went to save Homer and found out that Jesse had been lying about the "private ride" feature.

Features[edit]

The Pedalon exercise bike has Internet connectivity that connects the user to a fitness instructor. This instructor has classes of multiple people, who all have cameras on. The bike can change the incline and speed via an app or the bike itself.

The fitness instructor has the ability to kick people out of the group. They can also change the camera feeds to focus on a particular person. There is also a leaderboard feature that shows who the best cyclist in the class is. The system also has a "private ride" feature where the instructor can take a specific class member alone. However, this apparently got used for everyone in the class at the same time and merely hid the other cyclists feeds.

The bike also has a backup battery if the power is cut from it. There is also a "secret listen" feature where the instructor can listen for five minutes after the bike is turned off, which the owner can opt out of.

Owners[edit]

Other people who own Pedalon exercise bikes include Cookie Kwan, Helen Lovejoy, Waylon Smithers, Elizabeth Hoover, Luann Van Houten, Rainier Wolfcastle, Ruth Powers, Brandine Spuckler, Sarah Wiggum, Bernice Hibbert, and Tootsie Childs.

Behind the Laughter[edit]
