Cultural references
- The episode title parodies the film Catch Me if You Can, along with the musical montage.
- Some of the people at Tyrone's birthday are some of the Simpsons from "Lisa the Simpson".
- When the Canadian rescue boat calls the Americans "Shatner-stealing Mexico touchers", it is referring to the fact that William Shatner is Canadian, but achieved fame through work in America. "Mexico-touching" refers to America's common border with Mexico.
Goofs
- When the car stops at Miami Beach, the sound of the car screeching is slightly out-of-sync.
- After Bart lies to Marge about Lisa making him switch the channel, Lisa's necklace turns red when the scene zooms in on her.
