History
Bart read one of their comics, Aquaman and Superman.[1]
When Comic Book Guy noticed a new comic store had opened up across the street he said at it can't be true as it would be like Superman moving to Gotham City. Martin Prince pointed out that he did it in World's Finest Comics #94 and pointed to the comic, published by DC.[2]
In the film Everyman, Everyman absorbed the abilities from an issue of Wonder Woman.[3]

Due to the book Man and Superman being published by G.B. Shaw, D.C. Comics may be a reference to how the author has two initials and another word in their name.
