When Springfield celebrates the obesity of their population. Marge triesa to get sugra ban. She visits a local sugar factory but is thrown out by the owner.
Marge discusses her problem with her family and Lisa suggests getting a buisnessman to help. They chose Old Gill and Marge goes around the town trying to get people to sign a petition to ban sugar. When Marge arrives home, Homer gets distraught over their marrage and Professor Frink rings her about the sugar ban.
At the courtroom, the sugar factory owner tries to bribe the Judge into not banning sugar but it is banned. The police then burn all of the sugar-based products. At Springfield Elementary School all of the children are suffering beacuse of the sugar ban. Homer also can't stand the sugar loss and Apu shows him a hidden commitee of people who's aim is to try and smuggle sugar into Springfield.
Homer manages to get some sugar from a local island but they are stopped by the Police. Homer and Bart escape with the sugar but Marge sees Homer and tries to convince him to dump the sugar. Homer dumps the sugra into the ocean and the residents of Springfield diev into the water to eat the sugar. The sugar ban is then stopped and Marge decides to try to stop changing the world.
