The Squirt and the Whale is the nineteenth episode of Season 21.

Plot

The Simpsons determine to adopt a cheaper, alternate source of energy by putting up a wind turbine in their backyard. But once Homer actualizes some of the power is being aimed to the local light company, he determines to remove his home from the power grid and goes completely dependent upon an untrustworthy source of power. Meantime, a storm erupts, entrapping a brilliant 150-foot-long blue whale on land, and Lisa and the town try to aid the poor animal.

Lisa starts caring for the whale deeply, reading poetry for it at night and falling asleep beside it, a few days after it strands the whale dies and Lisa is very sad. Later as Lisa is standing at the docks she sees the whale's two babies surrounded by a group of sharks, Lisa and Homer try to fend off the sharks but fail, however the whales' father shows up just in time and saves it's babies and Homer.
