The Lettuce and Tomato Festival is an annual festival held in Springfield.
History
Principal Skinner was putting up leaflets for the Lettuce and Tomato Festival around the set of A Christmas Ornament for Christmas. Mary Tannenbaum then made a deal with him that if he was to build the gazebos on the set, she would arrange for the Lettuce and Tomato Festival to happen.
On the day of the Lettuce and Tomato Festival, Mary decided that they had to use the festival in the film, and they changed it to make it Christmas-y. Skinner was shocked at what had been done to his festival, even though Lenny and Carl seemed to like it more than usual.
