The Kansas City Royals are a current Major League Baseball (MLB) team in Kansas City, Kansas.
History
There's a book called The Kansas City Royals: Forever Champions, seen for sale at Rock Bottom Remainders.[1]
Radioactive Man has met the Kansas City Royals and there's a poster of it in The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop.[2][3]
Behind the Laughter
The Kansas City Royals are a baseball team that has been in the American League since their creation in 1969. After losing the 1980 World Series against the Phillidelphia Phillies, the Royals won the 1985 World Series against the Cardinals.
The Kansas City Royals: Forever Champions is a reference to the Kansas City Royals . Based on the outdated nature of Springfield Mall at the time, the book was likely published after 1985, when the team won the World Series. The joke then, being that the team thought they would be really successful, but now they've been doing very poorly.
