James Albert "Jim" Varney, Jr. (June 15, 1949 – February 10, 2000) was an American actor and comedian. He provided the voice for Cooder in the episode "Bart Carny". He was best known for his character Ernest P. Worrell, whom he portrayed in a series of commercials, a television show and numerous films and voicing Slinky Dog in Toy Story (1995) and Toy Story 2 (1999).
