Ed McMahon (March 6, 1923 – June 23, 2009) was an American TV host, announcer and comedian. He appeared as himself in the episode "Treehouse of Horror IX". He was best known as the announcer and sidekick alongside Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show 1962 to 1992.
