- Marge: Wow, Homer, how did you ever read what it said?
- Homer: I passed out on the cap at Moe's and the writing seared into my cornea.
- Marge: Kids! We're going skiing!
- Homer: But, Mate, I was planning to bring Moe, Barney, Lenny, and Carl.
- Bart: Mom, we've been sitting at the gate for hours. When are we getting on the plane?
- Marge: Patience, honey.
- [later still]
- Lisa: Mom, we've been sitting on the tarmac for hours. When are we going to takeoff?
- Marge: Patience, honey.
- [even later still]
- Homer: We've been circling Brockway for hours...
- Marge: I know, I know!! When are we going to land?!
- Flight attendant: Patience, honey.
- Marge: Homer, are you sure you know what you're doing?
- Homer: Close. I'm sure I don't know what I'm doing. But remember, I'm a trained astronaut.
- Homer: Excuse me, conductor, does this train go to Duffspen?
- Conductor: You're in luck. It goes wherever you want it to go! This is the Polar Express!
- Bart: Hold on. I skimmed that book and sped through that movie on DVD. The Polar Express was just a dream.
- Conductor: Then I guess you're out of luck!
