Cultural references
- The story's title is a pun on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? a real-life television quiz show.
- One of the questions asked is "Which of these actors was not one of The Three Stooges?" with the options of Moe Howard, Larry Fine (Martin's incorrect guess), Leslie Howard, Curly Howard and Shemp Howard. Lisa correctly guessed Leslie Howard, who was actually an English actor with no relation to any of The Three Stooges members.
- Kent Brockman nicknames the game show "Lord of the Flies 2001".
Continuity

- The original Radioactive man actor: Dirk Richter. ("Three Men and a Comic Book" and "Radioactive Man")
- Apu's 96 hour shift. ("Homer and Apu")
- Kent Brockman's name before he changed it: Kenny Brockelstein. ("Mother Simpson")
