Purpose: Railroad
First appearance: "Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie"

Union Pacific is an American railroad.

History

In The Itchy & Scratchy Movie, Scratchy is tied to a train track. Itchy tries to get into a train to run over Scratchy, but must get a degree to ride first. Itchy goes off to Union Pacific, studies madly, passes, receives a degree, attends the achievement celebration, applies for a job at Union Pacific and at last, hops into a train. Scratchy quickly tries to untie himself, though does not manage in time and gets run over. All that remains is Scratchy's severed arms still trying to untangle the rope.[1]

When Lisa did a report about an old Union Pacific railroad for Kidz Newz she said that the "Union Pacific doesn't come by here much anymore" just seconds before a Union Pacific train passed her.[2]

When Bart prank-called Moe in Morse code, Moe sends back, "I'm gonna stick my golden spike in your Central and Union Pacific".[3]
