The Booty is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #83.

Synopsis[edit]

"In literally another literary tale, Bart and his pals head into the Springfield forest in search of what they believe to be a dead body, while Homer gets his lard on while competing in a pie-eating contest."

Plot[edit]

Bart, Martin and Milhouse are walking along the train tracks, looking for a dead body. They find the body, and Martin thinks it is horrible. Bart then tells a story about something even more horrible he has seen...

Bart is watching TV, where Krusty says that Krusty Burger now sells Krustypie, but it turns out that nobody has been buying his pies, so Krusty decides to organize a competition to see who can eat the most Krustypies. The winner will receive a copy of the first issue of Krusty Burger Comics. Both Bart and Comic Book Guy want the comic book, but Bart realizes he cannot beat Comic Book Guy, so he asks Homer if he can enter the contest, which he accepts. The other contestants are Seymour Skinner and Disco Stu. The race begins and after a while only Comic Book Guy and Homer are left. Homer almost gives up but after Bart encourages him he continues to eat. The audience begins to think it is disgusting, because the contestants' bodies have begun to swell and Bart believes that Homer is going to explode, so he asks his father to stop, but he refuses. The audience leaves the competition, and Krusty cancels the competition and gives them each a copy of the comic. They bend down to take the comic, but they split their pants and Bart, who is standing behind them, sees their butts.

Back in the present, Bart tells his friends that it ws the most horrible thing he has ever seen. He then asks his friends what they thought of his story, but we see that they weren't paying attention to the story and were playing cards instead. They go home and are pleased to have seen a dead body. The body then starts to burp and when it wakes up, it turns out to be Barney, who had fallen asleep.
