Completely unlike Comic Book Guy, Milo is nothing like the stereotypical comic book fan. Milo is slim, trendy, and has a girlfriend. (Comic Book Guy used those facts to try to denounce Milo as not being a real comic book fan, but the kids didn't buy it and continued shopping at Coolsville.) He also doesn't force his opinions on people, but shows that he values and respects other people's opinions when he asks the kids what '''they''' think about questions and topics related to comic books. Milo believes that comics are made to be read and enjoyed, rather than hoarded away until they're valuable.

Carl Carlson, Sr. is the adoptive father of Carl Carlson.

After Carl and his friends won the Springfield Lottery, Carl took all the money and left to go back to Iceland. He planned to buy the missing page of his family's saga and clear the family name. While in Reykjavík, Carl stayed with his parents at 22 Hjorleifsstræti. After Carl bought the missing page, Homer, Lenny, and Moe tracked him down and took the page off him, as they felt like they were also owners of it since it was bought with their money. The three then translated the page and found that the Carlsons not only let the invasion happen, they also took part in it. After finding this out, they decided to instead tell everyone of all the good deeds Carl had done for them. The locals then decided to forgive the Carlson family and Carl Sr. and Sigrin were embraced into the community.
