The Springfield Lottery is the local lottery held in Springfield.

History[edit]

The Springfield Lottery put out an advert using the music of Bleeding Gums Murphy, but changed the lyrics to make the song "Scratch That Itch" rather than the original, "Can't Face Tomorrow". This advert led to many people in Springfield buying lottery tickets and singing the song from the advert. Lisa, who was angry at Bleeding Gums' music being used to sell lottery tickets, complained about it but didn't manage to get anywhere. She went on Smartline where she debated against the blue-haired lawyer who worked for the Springfield Lottery. The blue-haired lawyer proved that Lisa didn't know Bleeding Gums as well as she thought she did when he revealed that Bleeding Gums had a son, Monk Murphy.
