James H. "Jim" Allen (May 15, 1928 – July 28, 2015), better known as Rusty Nails, was an American clown and former host of children's television shows. He was interviewed in The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special – In 3-D! On Ice!.

Krusty the Clown is loosely based on him, but Matt Groening says that Krusty's mean-spirited nature is nothing like Rusty Nails. As a small child, Matt Groening once got to be on Rusty Nails' television show.[1]
