Grampa mentioned Kitty Hawk when he and Bart saw the Wright Brothers' plane at the airshow but then went off on one of his nonsensical ramblings.[1]
Footage from the Wright brothers' first flight in Kitty Hawk was shown at the Springfield Air and Space Museum.[2]
Behind the Laughter[edit]
For the 50th anniversary in 1953 the site of the first flight was incorporated into a separate town named Kill Devil Hills.
