The Springfield Town Charter is the legal document establishing the town of Springfield, signed by Jebediah Springfield.

History[edit]

To address the issue of the Springfield Monorail being out of control, Mayor Quimby and Chief Wiggum argue over who is in charge. They go to town hall to resolve the constitutional crisis and read the city charter. According to the charter, as town constable, Wiggum is entitled to receive a pig every month, as well as "two comely lasses of virtue true." Quimby takes a closer look and says, "Hey, how many broads do I get?" The two then argue over the charter as the monorail zips past.[1]
