Cultural references

  • The story parodies reboots which have previously male dominated casts replaced by mostly women and people protesting against them. One of them is shown to be Comic Book Guy.
  • One of the people protesting the reboot holds up a sign saying "My other sign is a Millennium Falcon", a reference to Star Wars.
  • Krusty mixed up Radioactive Man with Richie Rich.
  • Mr. Burns tells Krusty that his radioactive mishaps have been part of the film industry since Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman'.
