Cultural references
- The story parodies reboots which have previously male dominated casts replaced by mostly women and people protesting against them. One of them is shown to be Comic Book Guy.
- One of the people protesting the reboot holds up a sign saying "My other sign is a Millennium Falcon", a reference to Star Wars.
- Krusty mixed up Radioactive Man with Richie Rich.
- Mr. Burns tells Krusty that his radioactive mishaps have been part of the film industry since Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman'.
- The kid who was supposed to be the love interest has quit and became a Wookie in the new Star Wars movie.
- Phantastic Phour is a parody of the Fantastic Four.
