The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics were a major international multi-sport event held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for teams to enter from each country. Homer, Marge, Principal Skinner and Agnes Skinner entered the mixed-doubles curling demonstration event, and won the gold medal over Sweden.
There also appeared to be a bobsleigh event as Homer went down the slope accidentally.

Opening ceremony
During the opening ceremony, the Ghostbusters theme music played and the stadium announcer said "Who you gonna call?" followed by each nation's name as its delegation entered. By the time the competing nations finished entering the stadium and the observing nations started to come in, the announcer's voice was exhausted and reduced to a croak.
