Angels with Yellow Faces is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #46.

Plot[edit]

After rendering a warden unconscious during a prison riot so 'he wouldn't have to witness the violence', Sideshow Bob is a free man. His lawyer is now demanding 10,000 dollars which is to be paid within seven days. Bob has no idea how he can obtain the money.

Bob contemplates on how he should build his life anew, but he has no money to do so. He realizes he will never find any honest work befitting him with his education and refinement. Despite Bob's claims of how he's reformed, Chief Wiggum insists he will be keeping an eye on him every minute of every day. Bob knows that any attempt he makes to go straight will fail, and he decides to resume his life of crime.

The following day, Bob arrives disguised at a bank and prepares to start a stick-up, until Lou cuts in. Later on, he moves his crime spree elsewhere to 'Jim's Genuine Gems and Cheap Imitations' only to find Chief Wiggum inside. He finally attempts to disassemble a parking meter until he is stopped by a rogue cop. Realizing that cops are basically following him everywhere, Bob gives up.

Bob catches Nelson, Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney attempting to steal his wallet. When they find out who he is, they regard him as an idol.

Bob asks for a loan for his new VCR and Pet Sitting Business, although the loaner quickly flees in terror after signing the agreement. The business is actually an incognito crime school. Nelson, Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney agree to join the school. The bullies learn techniques such as skateboarding around cops and firing slingshots at them. They are also encouraged to cheat on tests. They successfully steal money from a number of places including the Kwik-E-Mart and church by distracting the employees.

Meanwhile Bart is pulling a number of pranks on Principal Skinner and the church until he is caught by Chief Wiggum. Wiggum offers to brush off his pranks if he infiltrates Bob's gang. Bart persuades the bullies to let him in and Bob obliges so he can get close to Bart and eventually have revenge. Bart proves to be a natural at his crime lessons and Bob is so impressed he changes his mind on harming him.

Bob is preparing a 'master crime' although Bart doesn't know what it is so he cannot help the police. He instead lies about the location and also tells Lisa what he has been doing. The crime actually involves kidnapping Mr. Burns while he is giving a speech by a hospital. Burns is forced into an ambulance and Bart is asked to tie him to a chair while Bob drives. They are stopped by police and Bob accuses Bart of betrayal (in reality Lisa had followed Bart and led the police to him). Bob attempts to kill Bart with an injection, until Bart electrocutes him with a defibrillator, knocking him out. Bob is arrested by Wiggum.
