Everyman is a movie adaptation of the Everyman by Comic Book Guy.

History[edit]

After Comic Book Guy's comic, Everyman, became a success, One-Week Wonder Films wanted to make it into a movie. However, Ginormous Pictures had already bought the rights to the film. Comic Book Guy only let them make the film if he could choose who played Everyman. When Homer walked into The Android's Dungeon, Comic Book Guy chose Homer for the titular role.

The studio executives decided that Homer needed to lose weight to play the character, so they hired Lyle McCarthy to be his personal trainer for the film. However, Lyle ended up leaving mid-way through, so Homer put on weight again. This led to problems with filming.

When the film had a test screening, it was poorly received, with a large part of that being the continuity between Homer being fit and fat.
