Troy McClure Media Information

Here Comes the Metric System! is an educational film that stars Troy McClure and teaches students about the metric system.
History[edit]
At the beginning of the sex-education film Fuzzy Bunny's Guide to You Know What, McClure said that the kids watching the film "might remember [him] from such educational films as Lead Paint: Delicious But Deadly and Here Comes the Metric System!"
Fuzzy Bunny's Guide to You Know What bears a copyright date of 1971, so Here Comes the Metric System! was most likely made at about the same time.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
In the 1970s, there were government studies and widespread speculation about the USA's possibly converting to the metric system. During that time, educational films about the metric system were very commonly shown in American public schools.
