The Simpsons: Tapped Out Clash of Creeds: Christmas Royale, the Winter 2020 event, is the two hundred and sixth content update, and will be released on December 9, 2020. It's based on the Season 9 episode "The Joy of Sect".

December 8th Update (4.47.0; "4_47_XMAS2020")

• The app icon and the splash screen were changed to new ones for the event.
• The whole game was changed to winter theme (except some items) and a winter wind blows now as ambience sound.
• The alternate text for completing a quest "Congratulations, you completed (quest name). Collect your reward and maybe take a nap." was added back.
• Marbles LeMarquez's Help Kirk Get the Power Back On's job can now be correctly done at Groovetone Records too.
• Moe and Hugh Jass were added to the Barflies character group.
• A new 3h crop, Christmas Special, was added to Cletus' Farm, costing 500, rewarding 1,500 and 350.
• A new 3h job, Christmas Sing Along, was added to KBBL Radio, costing 315, rewarding 750 and 200.
• The Parson's Preach a Sermon job can now be done at First Church of Springfield, Mega Church, Springfield Episcopal Church and Brown House too.
• Old Theatre Discrict was added to the Characters inventory group.
• Moe can now Party at the Tailgate.
• Demon Car, Milhouse's Scooter, Discouver Vancouver Bus, was added to the Vehicles item group.
