The Homer is the seventy-eighth content update for The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It was released on March 11, 2015. It introduced The Homer to the game.

March 11 update (v4_13_TheHomer)[edit]
- Commented the reward of 0$ and 0XP for "buying" "Premium" Helen Lovejoy.
- The Canyonero can now be placed on the beach.
- The tutorial questline Pave Paradise now opens the store after giving you the quest.
- Added a questline for the unreleased Herb Powell and Powell Motors: Nostalgia and Kitsch. It'll be a sidequest to Herb Powell's questline if you bought The Homer.
- Patty's text icons changed slightly.
- Mr. Burn's sounds for good and bad jobs have been swapped. They were swapped by mistake before this update.
- The Store menu was changed to accommodate for the offer. The Superheroes menu changed to single column.
March 11 update (v4_13_TheHomer_Patch1_PostLaunch)[edit]
- The Gil Deal was removed from the store by setting the ending date to March 16, 2015.
March 12 update (v4_13_TheHomer_Patch2_PostLaunch)[edit]
- The Gil Deal has been brought back by restoring the end date to March 16, 2015.
- The Homer now yields 820 points in Vanity for the Conform-O-Meter. The 3% bonus on $ and XP is still present.
- Homer's Drink Beer at The Homer now yields Premium Payout.
- Herb Powell's Destroy His Office In A Tantrum and Market The Homer jobs yields Premium Payout.
