• In the future, Ned Flanders tells Lisa that his wife Maude died of a freak accident at "Needlepoint Camp". Maude is killed off for real right around the same time in the Season 11 episode "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily".

• The Springfield General Hospital is named the "Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital".

Goofs

• In one panel, Moe's Tavern is seen right beside the Aztec Theater, and just across the street from The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop. Both Moe's and the Android's Dungeon have different appearances: Moe's is more fancy looking and the bar name is above the roof. The Android's Dungeon has a fake spaceship stuck above the window, with the store's name on it, and a large dragon sitting on the roof.
  • However, this may be an indication that the events during the Fish Log escapade took place sometime shortly after what is considered to be the present day in the Simpsons universe, especially since renovation work is shown to be taking place.
