"The Simpsons Tide" was a episode of the ninth season of the simpsons.

Plot

Lenny,Carl,and Homer are desperate for the last doughnut in the box homer thinks up of a (so-called) sultion and puts the doughnut in the reactor core thinking that would make the doughnut bigger within ten minutes the the power plant is up in flames. then Mr.Burns fires homer on the spot. while watching TV the down on his luck homer sees a recruiment ad that makes him sign up for the navy. a day before he leaves he tells every one at moes he's leaveing. that makes Barney,Moe,an Apu.

meanwhile Milhouse gets a earring at first Bart is unimpressed by Milhouses attempt to become popular but once they get on the schoolbus milhouse becomes the center of attention of the school. then Bart gets his ears pierced at an attempt to be the center of attention again it failed. Once Bart gets home Homer is outraged about him getting his ear pierced. Not much later Homer and the gang graduate from naval training corps and are subjected to war games. As Homer prepares to board the submarine he gets in a aurguement with Bart. Ending with Bart giving Homer the earring.

Homer is off to a great start with captain of his vessel the captain even tells him if anything happens to him he would be captain then the cpt. goes into the torpedo ordering Homer if a enemey submarine approaches the vessel to fire a torpedo. seconds later a submarine approachs and Homer oders a torpedo to be launched. thus lauching the captain into the enemey sub.putting Homer pernament in control of the vessel he gives orders to retreat.

Homers derections to head back to Springfeild have gone all wrong and the crew has endend up in Russain waters.
