The Mayo Clinic is a clinic in Minnesota.

History

Mr. Burns went to the Mayo Clinic for a checkup after he learned that he was the oldest person in Springfield. He was there at the same time as the Pope and Fidel Castro. The medical staff found out that Burns had every disease known to man, plus a few new ones. Fortunately for Burns, his various ailments were keeping each other in check, so they couldn't harm him. The doctor referred to this phenomenon as "Three Stooges Syndrome".[1]

Homer went to the Mayo Clinic for a colonoscopy. The doctor found several assorted objects in Homer's colon, as well as three active polyps, and removed them all.[2]
