The Simpsons family goes to the couch only to find a letter in its place. "By the time you read this I will be gone. It's best this way. -C". The couch is seen driving in a taxi toward the Springfield International Airport, where the family is rushing to through the traffic.
The couch is passed through the scanners where one of its cushions contains a Duff Beer, a Bart Simpson school paper with an F and the skeleton of Snowball I. The Simpsons rush to Gate 10, where they find out that couch has already taken flight, sitting next to Gil, squishing him.
