"Island of Sirens" is a song from the "D'oh, Brother Where Art Thou?" segment of the episode "Tales from the Public Domain".

History

The Sirens had a custom of singing to ships passing near their island and luring their crews into steering toward it and crashing on the rocks surrounding it. They sang the song in an attempt to lure Odysseus and his crew into suffering the same fate, and they nearly succeeded.

Lyrics

Female Singers:
On the island,
Island of sirens,
Our hot sex will leave you perspirin'.
Lenny:
Hey, that's kinda catchy.
Carl:
It's comin' from that island. Let's steer heedlessly towards it.
Lenny:
Heedlessly it is!
Female Singers:
The feta is cheesy,
The sirens are easy...
Homer:
Boy, if they kiss as good as they lure...Wow!
Female Singers:
On the island,
We'll sex you up!
Island of sirens. (repeat)
[As the boat approaches the island, the crew can finally see the Sirens. They look exactly like Patty and Selma, even down to the leg stubble.]
Homer [screaming]:
Oh, God, they're hideous!
Apu:
Woof!
Lenny:
Uff! Someone gouge my eyes!
Professor Frink:
Someone save me from the LAY-DEES!
[The crew quickly man the oars, row frantically, turn the boat around, and go back the way they came, leaving the island behind.]
