How the Vest Was Won! is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #57.
Plot
Bart appears on the reality TV series Kids Commit the Darndest Crimes!, where he tells the audience about how he witnessed and squealed on Nelson, Kearney, Jimbo and Dolph for stealing Wax Lips from Kwik-E-Mart. Bart is awarded a bulletproof vest but also learns that the bullies were only given community service and want revenge.
Bart wears his bulletproof vest to school, impressing his classmates, while the bullies escape their community service. In their first attempt at revenge, the bullies place a beehive in Bart's locker, but his vest protects him, with the bees instead going after Jimbo and Kearney.
