It was up for sale at Springfield Elementary School's silent auction. Reverend Lovejoy kept bidding for it as he saw others bid for it. He eventually won the train set, despite the fact it had gone over its RRP.
Others who bidded for it were: Comic Book Guy, Martin Prince, Milhouse Van Houten and one of Dr. Hibbert's kids.
