A Springfield Christmas Carol is a Christmas movie, and a retelling of A Christmas Carol, featuring Springfield residents.
History[edit]
Since the television network that Roger Meyers, Jr. runs was tired of running The Happy Little Elves Save Christmas thirty-five years in a row, they wanted a new holiday special. Since Abraham Simpson had "written" decent The Itchy & Scratchy Show cartoons in the past, he was brought in to write the new special. So, while Grampa slept, Bart and Lisa set to work on writing the special.
After the special was written, Roger Meyers was surprised by it. The network then decided to run The Happy Little Elves Save Christmas for the thirty-sixth year in a row instead of the new special.
Plot[edit]
At the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, the downtrodden workers were slaving away through the holidays. C. Montgomery Scrooge was counting his money whilst Homer Cratchit was being overworked. Suddenly, Ozmodiar appeared to Homer Cratchit. Homer Cratchit suggests to Ozmodiar that there could be a way to rekindle the magic of Christmas in C. Montgomery Scrooge's heart, which gives Ozmodiar an idea.
That night, Ozmodiar appears to Scrooge and tells him that he will give Scrooge a tour of his misspent life. However, Scrooge summons Smilin' Joe Fission, Scrooge's impish sidekick. Ozmodiar and Joe Fission begin to fight whilst Scrooge hides. The fight between the two of them caused the Earth to explode, bringing peace on Earth.

A Springfield Christmas Carol is a parody of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
