Drops and Risers is a board game seen in the Simpsons' attic.

History

While Bart and Milhouse were playing a videogame, Marge walked with a plate of cookies for them. After watching a bit of the game, she deemed that it was too violent and made the boys play a board game instead. They went up to the attic to look for a game and, upon finding a small bookcase full of them, proceeded to list off a number of different games. One of the games Milhouse shows is Drops and Risers. The two decided to play Satan's Path, because all the other games were too lame.

Later on, after all the games came to life, Homer can be seen walking along the Drops and Risers board, continuously climbing up ladders, only to fall back down a drop.

Behind the Laughter

The game is a parody of the board game Snakes and Ladders, known in America as Chutes and Ladders.
