The Return of Xt'tapalatakettle is a Simpsons Comics story that appears in Simpsons Comics #98.

Snowball II walks down into the basement and press on a button on the Olmec head, which leads to a gap there in opening. it turns out at inside the statue sits X'T'H'K'K and he start to talking to Snowball in Olmec head. X'T'H'K'K leaving after a while the statue and go and after he check if the coast is clear, which it's it for everyone is asleep. X'T'H'K'K goes to the fridge and start eating food from the refrigerator. While he sits and eats, here came Homer and visit him during one of his night walks and he start to sleep-eating. In the morning Bart wakes up and discovers that a creepy old aztec witchdoctor sleeping at the end of his bed and he start to yell. The family wakes up and when Marge see the old man, she yells too. Homer recognize the man from his dream and believes he is still dreaming and runs out of the house naked.

Marge asks what he did in Bart's room. X'T'H'K'K says that he is doing his sacred duty, for 50 years he has lived inside the head of Xt'tapalatakettle, awaiting his terrible and gloriius return to bring judgment on humanity. When Mr. Burns gifted the head to the Simpsons, he remains inside waiting for Xt'tapalatakettle's return. He visits Bart every night for he is his chosen successor. He has no son to carry on the sacred waiting so he have been desperately planting that suggestion into Bart's sleeping mind for months. X'T'H'K'K begins to follow Bart and wants him to be his chosen one, but Bart tell that it is better that he chooses Homer. Marge and Lisa tries to get rid of the head now, but no one wants it, and Homer comes home from work. Bart and X'T'H'K'K move down the living room to the Olmec head in the basement. Homer is about to embark on the head. But, when he think he is dreaming again, he intends to visit the Duff Brewery instead.

Bart goes to Lisa to get some tips how he can get rid of X'T'H'K'K, but she would not help him until she sees that X'T'H'K'K had a good contact with Snowball. Bart and Lisa go to Ned to borrow Christmas lights and his garage while Homer is thrown out from the Duff Brewery after swimming naked in the tank. Homer realizes that his dream blows so he will live out his guiltess consequence free dream. Lisa wants to show something for X'T'H'K'K in Flanders garage, and inside it turns out at Xttapalatakettle hanging in the roof, but X'T'H'K'K thinks he has a little lacking the wall of purifying fire so he is sceptic. Xttapalatakettle which is actually Bart tries to convince him that he is genuine and he realizes that he is right after the fire starts in the garage, after Homer set fire on it after he spraying gasoline over the garage.

Ned sees what Homer has done and start extinguishing the fire and Homer realizes that this dream is everything exactly the same as when he awoke, and he starts to run away for now he is really angry. X'T'H'K'K tells to the Simpsons at the end times are aupon them at he must return to his village and be with his family before the world is consumed in fire and so fast he has $720 to the flight, he leave. Smithers and Mr. Burns came then, and they are forced to give X'T'H'K'K a check for $750 because he actually is the oldest in Springfield, 142 years which is older than Mr. Burns is.

X'T'H'K'K leave Springfield and flying home and everything is as usual in the Simpson family in addition to Homer now settled in the Olmec head. While he sits there, he gets visited from the real Xttapalatakettle. Xttapalatakettle tells Homer that he returned after hundreds of winters to pass judgment of humanity and then asks what Homer doing tonight. He says that he watch TV, drink beer, and eat donuts and Xttapalatakettle also starts doing it with Homer.
