[Milhouse begins his lesson in telephone etiquette. He and Bart are at Bart's house, and Bart is beginning a prank phone call.
Milhouse: When using the telephone, be polite. Give your name and be friendly.
Bart: Hello, my name is Stuart Pidme. You can call me "Stu".
[On the other end of the call is Moe, at Moe's Tavern.]
Moe: Hiya, Stu. How can I help you?
Milhouse: [continuing the lesson] Always be clear and concise.
Bart: I'm looking for Miss Suring. Her first name is Ann.
[The scene shifts back to Moe's Tavern, where Moe calls out for Bart's party.]
Moe: Got a phone call here. Stu Pidme for Ann Suring. Anyone know Stu Pidme?
Barney: I know you, Moe. [laughs]
[On the phone, Bart also laughs. Moe realizes he's been pranked.]
Moe: [angry] Yeah, yeah ... Very funny.
[Back at Bart's house, Milhouse keeps on with the lesson.]
Milhouse: If you've misdialed, apologize.
Bart: [still on the phone with Moe] I'm sorry. This must be the wrong number.
Moe: [mollified] Aw, that's okay, kid. That was the nicest crank call I ever had.
Milhouse: [concluding the lesson] Manners do matter!
