Translation, anyone?
I'm curious about whether the "Chinese" words in that part of the story are actually swearing, or even Chinese words at all. If anyone can figure this out, please drop me a line at my talk page. There is one more frame with "Chinese" script (where Bart says "Holy-"), so if anyone wants to have a try at a translation, I'll make an image of that frame available. Thanks! -- Mythigator 04:01, 12 March 2012 (EDT)
- I searched a few websites. Wikipedia isn't very reliable. I searched up a particular Chinese swear word language website, but they vote for what is (or isn't) a swear word. Honestly, I don't think they're swear words. --Fred (Talk • Contribs.) 06:16, 21 March 2012 (EDT)
- I'm tediously looking through a list of Chinese characters here. I've translated the first speech bubble "Go to your" and I'm trying to translate the second bubble. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 08:57, 21 March 2012 (EDT)
- The entire phrase is written in simplified Chinese except from the first character of the second speech bubble. The second character in the second speech bubble is "dead". But, it does not seem like a swear word though. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 16:12, 21 March 2012 (EDT)
- Okay, my translator managed to get some help from his dad for the last speech bubble. It says either "Go to hell" or "You should be dead." The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 16:15, 21 March 2012 (EDT)
- Both speech bubbles together could be "Damn you" I am told too. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 16:17, 21 March 2012 (EDT)
