The Muntz family is a family based in Springfield, the main members consisting of 4th grader Nelson Muntz and his parents Eddie Muntz and Mrs. Muntz. Other members include Nelson's grandfather Judge Muntz, and Mr. Muntz's other wife and child. When Bart is the only person to show up for Nelson's birthday party he later retells Lisa about what happened "then we sang songs with Nelson's grandma."[1] At Springfield Elementary School's Grandparents Day Nelson taunts Bart for walking arm in arm with Mrs. Skinner while also lamenting, "And my grandmas are gone. One's in jail and one's in dirt jail."[2]
