Tube Town is a TV channel broadcast in Springfield.

History

Homer Simpson discovered Tube Town when he and Lisa were watching TV and Kent's Korrections was showing on Channel 6. Lisa had the remote, so Homer told her to "mash the buttons until something good comes on", and the channel they ended up at was Tube Town. Very quickly, Homer got hooked on the classic sitcoms shown on the channel, especially Thicker than Waters.

Programming

Tube Town's programming lineup consists primarily of reruns of classic sitcoms. The shows' origins span several decades, but they are mainly from the 1980s. Shows that Tube Town is known to have aired include Sheriff Wholesome, Black President, Failed Geena Davis Sitcom 1986, The Voiceover Years, Hannigan, M.F.A., Thicker than Waters, UpscAlien in da House, I Lost Lucy and Supreme Courtney.

Tube Town also airs documentary-style programs about Thicker than Waters such as a special titled Thicker than Waters: The E! True Hollywood Story and an episode of Inside the Actor's Studio which include content such as cast interviews and footage of the cast and crew, shot on the set while the show was being produced.

Behind the Laughter

Tube Town is a parody of TV Land, a cable network which specializes in classic TV programming.
