About

'Eye On Springfield' is a section which used to appear on the Junk Mail UK page and presented the latest Simpsons news, whether on TV, in comics or just in general. It stars Kent Brockman at the top, reading the news. In Simpsons Comics 220 (UK), along with the re-design of the inside of the comic for The Simpsons 25th birthday, it expanded to almost a whole page, including not just the latest Simpsons news, but a trivia, Bongo Stamp, a search for a character and information on how to watch The Simpsons and how to get them on your iPhone or iPad.

Simpsons Trivia

Every issue (since Simpsons Comics 220 (UK) ), there is a short Simpsons fact for readers. So far they have included...

  • All of the Springfield residents have four fingers! The only 'characters' in The Simpsons who have five fingers are God and Jesus!
  • The Simpsons holds the Guinness World Record for Most Guests On A TV Show. Over 600 stars have lent their voice over the years, including Michael Jackson, Tony Blair, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
  • The very first Simpsons episode was a Christmas special! It aired on 17 December 1989 and was called 'Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire'.

More Trivia's from Simpsons Comics coming soon!

Bongo Stamps

Every issue there is a new 'Bongo Stamp' printed in the comic. These stamps feature a series of different characters every issue, with different numbers, and there name. The aim is to collect as many as you can.

A search for a character!

Every issue there is one character hidden somewhere (usually on the extra pages rather than in the comic strips). The aim is to find him or her before the next issue; when the reveal what page he/she was on. They have featured Hans Moleman, Dr. Hibbert, Principal Skinner (twice), Marge Simpson, Krusty the Clown, Ned Flanders, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Snake, Patty Bouvier, and Mr. Burns
