Bongo Bonus Stamps
Since you have the new comics, can you check and upload images of the Bongo Bonus Stamps? Thanks. Phinbart - just one of the huge Bart fans! 14:16, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- The picture is already there - http://simpsonswiki.net/wiki/Bongo_Bonus_Stamps /AleWi 14:17, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- I know, but I ment BIGGER images. Also, when you get the new comics every time, can you check for them, take a pic or a scan, and then upload it. I would do it but I've only got Simpsons Illustrated 1 from the US, and I'm waiting to get enough money to buy future issues of Simpsons, Bart and Illustrated. File Upload Limit
In response to your discussion in today's editor meeting, I have increased the upload limit from 2mb to 5mb. Because the uploads are handled through a regular HTTP connection, it isn't ideal to allow much larger than that because it can cause the server to hold requests while the data is saved and processed on the disk. If you have any files that are larger than 5mb that need to be uploaded, just send me either a link or an email with the image and I can upload it through a maintenance socket. I hope this helps! :) --Jake 22:34, 18 February 2012 (EST)

Good grief, Ale, how many of those articles did you make? I'm not complaining; you did a nice job building them. I'm just surprised because it seems that every time I think I've found them all to spiff them up a little, I find another one. -- Mythigator 00:18, 22 February 2012 (EST)

- Since you've got access to images from that episode, could you build an article for "Psalms"? The book is partly visible in the images in the other articles, and if you can get a good image, it would be good to have the article in the interest of completeness. Thanks again ... -- Mythigator 11:21, 22 February 2012 (EST)
- I didn't get to them as soon as I thought I would, but they've all been attended to now. If you make an article for "Psalms", please let me know and I'll give it the same "prettying up" treatment. -- Mythigator 09:03, 24 February 2012 (EST)

If you are going to make multiple pages with roughly the same content, please add the text to the Swedish submissions page so you don't make 20 ungrammatical pages. Synopsis and Plot
Hi Ale, it's perfectly OK for articles about episodes and comic book stories to have both Synopsis and Plot sections. A synopsis is a short summary. The plot is a longer detailed section that gives a thorough description of what happens. If there is already a synopsis written for a story (as in The Last King of Spotland) and you want to work on the plot, it is not necessary to delete or overwrite the synopsis. Just make a new section for the plot. Thank you ... -- Mythigator 15:01, 3 March 2012 (EST)

- Sounds like a reasonable guess to me, actually. I put the {{Engrish}} tag on articles so it will be known that they need work, but I don't get on anyone's case or add any "YELLING AT FELLOW EDITORS!!!!" while I'm at it. Randomno, you really need to "play nice" and follow suit in this regard. Yelling at people in that manner (as you've been told before) could easily be taken as an insult. However good a sport AleWi is being, that doesn't change the facts that 1) the yelling is not nice and 2) you need to knock it off. -- Mythigator 09:28, 8 June 2012 (EDT)

Maggie's Crib article
Hi again! I noticed you added the table onto the article for the Maggie's Crib story series. I was thinking about doing that, and since you had the idea as well, that means it was a REALLY good idea. Nicely done! Just one thing, though: I think it would make more sense for the table to have synopses (short summaries) than plots for each story, for a few reasons:
- With tables in general, the fewer words you can manage to put on them, the better they look. And it's really easy to make nice short summaries for the Maggie's Crib stories.
- A number of the plots have language issues. The table will look better and more polished with all-done synopses than with plots that need work.
- We want to give people (that is, visitors to the wiki) a reason to click the links to the story articles. They will have more reason to do that if the table only has synopses, instead of the full plots.
I am perfectly willing to write synopses for the stories that don't have them yet. (I had better be willing, since it's my idea.) But I know it took a lot of work to get all those plots onto the table, so I want to make sure you know what's going on so it doesn't look like I'm disrespecting your work. Anyway, is it OK by you if I make that change to the table? Thanks ... -- Mythigator 09:35, 16 June 2012 (EDT)
- Yes, I have thought we should have synopses there and a longer plot in the articles. /AleWi 09:48, 16 June 2012 (EDT)
- I will get going on that then, Ale. Thank you for your quick reply! Also, I would like to work on the older Maggie's Crib stories, and I am going to need help which I think you can provide.
