Harry Potter is a book and film series about a young wizard who goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It has been referenced in many ways in The Simpsons.

- In Treehouse of Horror XII, the Wiz Kids segment is based on the Harry Potter series. Harry is also a character in the segment, appearing as one of the students in Mrs. Krabappel's classroom.
- In The Simpsons Movie, Homer renamed Plopper the pig to Harry Plopper.
- In Boy Meets Curl, Moe and other people in the bar are watching Harry Potter and complimenting on Harry's broomwork even though he shouldn't be playing Quidditch as there are still 4 of the 7 Horcruxes to be found.
- In The Bob Next Door, Sideshow Bob said about it being the greatest murder since Snape murdered Dumbledore, from the sixth book of Harry Potter.
- Ned Flanders owns a soppy, modified version of Harry Potter in which Harry Potter goes to hell for magic which was read in Trilogy of Error.
