Sports Team Information
Sport: Football
First mentioned: "Lisa the Greek"

The Houston Oilers were an American Football team.

History

Lisa and Homer watched a game where the final score was Atlanta 17 and Houston 13. After the game the commentator said that the Falcons were flying high and who would have thought it. Homer replied, saying "my daughter, that's who".

In the production script for the episode "You Only Move Twice," Hank Scorpio gives Homer the Houston Oilers instead of the Denver Broncos, but this was evidently changed before the show aired in 1996.[1] The Oilers relocated to become the Tennessee Oilers (later the Tennessee Titans) in 1997.

Behind the Laughter

The Houston Oilers were a real American football team.
