A Christmas Ornament for Christmas is a Christmas movie made by The Heartmark Channel.

History

The film was being filmed in Springfield, and Mary Tannenbaum was assigned to help get the film back on track after several problems came up with production. Mary arrived at the set and got to work organizing everything. Meanwhile, Lisa was following her around to film a behind-the-scenes documentary of the movie. Within a short period of time, Mary had the film back on track. As she was leaving, her boss phoned her to ask her to stay on the film until the end.

Filming got held up again when they ran out of fake snow. Homer was hired to make fake snow for the set, which he did by grinding up white stuff, including asbestos. Another problem was when the Christmas tree to be used in the film got stolen by beavers. Mary then decided to use the Lettuce and Tomato Festival as a backdrop for the Christmas festival scenes and the crew decorated the festival to make it seem Christmas-y.

On the set, Bart turned the snow generator up to maximum, which caused the entire set to be covered in too much fake snow, so filming ended until they could clean it up. The next day, Bart showed the townspeople what Mary had said about them, calling them negative things. This caused the people to quit being extras in the film. Eventually, footage of Mary having a heart to heart with Marge and telling Marge how she was upset that she lost the respect of the town was shown to everyone, so the people of Springfield came together to fix the set and finish the film.

Later, the Simpson family watched the film, although only Marge enjoyed it.

Plot

In the film, Sondra's family owns a Christmas megastore, whilst Jeff's family owns a mom-and-pop ornament store. This puts them at odds against each other as Sondra's store could put Jeff's store out of business. However, the two of them shared a moment at Christmas Creek, which caused Sondra to care about Jeff.

The script for the movie.

At the end of the film, Sondra and Jeff exchange gifts. Sondra opens up her gift to reveal a Christmas bauble with "Will you marry me?" written on it, whilst Jeff opens up his gift to reveal a Christmas bauble with "Yes" written on it. The two then kiss each other.
