Richard Georg Strauss (June 11, 1864 – September 8, 1949) was a leading German composer of the late Romantic and early modern eras. He wrote the tone poem Also sprach Zarathustra, which was used in the film The Simpsons Movie; the first few bars of the Sunrise portion of it was used in the season 28 episode "Trust but Clarify".
