Chernobyl is an abandoned city in Ukraine. It was the site of the Chernobyl disaster, in 1986.

History

Someone at the energy convention, in Capital City, yells "No more Chernobyl!" to Homer and Mindy Simmons, who were representing the power plant.[1]

After stopping a meltdown, Mr. Burns tells Homer that his bravery quick thinking "turned a potential Chernobyl into a mere Three Mile Island."[2]

Marge watches a film titled "Chernobyl Graveyard" at the Sundance Film Festival.[3]
