Escape from New Springfield is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story that appears in Jimbo Jones #1.
Plot
Chief Wiggum arresting Jimbo after he has shoplifted in Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop. Springfield has changed to New Springfield after Gil became mayor after a computer glitch. Because it is Jimbo's first offense he get life imprisonment in the New Springfield Maximum Detention Facility. Jimbo will not be there for he was already there when he was in school, Wiggum tell him he can let him walk away with a warning if he can stop Bart who have taking over Warden Skinner's place. Jimbo accept it, Wiggum glueing a bomb with a timer in 24 minutes in his head. Wiggum using a catapult for taking him to the detention facility.
He lands in a pile of leaves that the Wild Willie, Kearney, Nelson and Dolph raked up and they starts chasing him. He meeting Martin how helps him to safety in the library. Lisa and Martin are there to study and there the only people that are there voluntarily. Jimbo telling them at he's here to stop Bart, Lisa wants to help him but he says he is a bully and can handle himself. Jimbo valking in the corridors and gets caught by Wild Willies who takes him to Skinner, who believe himself to be Bart because he has gone crazy. The real Bart, has been thrown into a basketball hoop. Skinner asks Willie to make him one of his Wild Willies.
Jimbo refuse it and challenge Skinner on the skateboard challenge that Skinner loses. He hits his head on the ground and remember that he is Skinner and not Bart. Jimbo has complete his mission and must turn off the bomb, Ralph eating then the glue that bomb is attached to. Jimbo throws the bomb away, and it's exploding and making a hole in the wall so the imprisonment can escaping from the detention facility. Jimbo walks back to the detention facility after Martin called him a hero and Lisa reminded that he did not want any reward for saving them and he take then their lunch money. Martin and Lisa think ten he's a jerk.
