When Bongos Collide! is the second of a three-part comic series, printed in Simpsons Comics #5. In the UK it was printed in Simpsons Comics #55. The comic later has since been reprinted in Bartman: The Best of the Best!, Simpsons Classics #3 and The Best of The Simpsons #21.
Plot
Bart is grounded for the damage caused by Itchy and Scratchy, meaning he has to miss Krusty the Clown perform at the Nuclear Power Plant, even though the entire town is going. During the event, Itchy and Scratchy enter the power plant and cause a nuclear explosion. After the explosion, Bart investigates under his alias Bartman and finds the entire town have turned into violent superhumans. While the people of Springfield are attacking each other with their new powers, Bart finds a spaceship in the Flanders' backyard. Inside the speaceship he is captured by Kang and Kodos.
