Anika Noni Rose (born September 6, 1972) is an American actress and singer. She will voice Rita LaFleur who is Grampa's former wife and will sing a duet with Dan Castellaneta in the upcoming season 24 episode "Gone Abie Gone".[1][2] She stated on Twitter: "Headed to celebration for #TheSimpsons 500th episode! So excited to be a part of that series! My episode will open the season in September!".[3]
