History
After the Simpson family saw an ad on TV for the singing competition they went to the audition at Springfield Mall. The judge for the audition was the Applause-O-Meter. At the audition Ralph Wiggum sang an alphabet song and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", Clarissa Wellington sang "Hush, Little Baby", Milhouse Van Houten sang "When a Man Loves a Woman" and Lisa Simpson sang "I'm Talkin' Springfield".
After the audition Homer became Lisa's coach. In every episode one of the nine finalists were eliminated. The first was Katy Anderson. Paul Simon was a contestant on the show, but when they found out that he was not 10 and actually a famous singer, they disqualified him. After Clarissa Wellington was elimated in the semi-final, Lisa decided that Homer must quit as her coach. Homer then become the coach of Johnny Rainbow (Cameron).
In the final Johnny Rainbow sang "Privileged Boy" and Lisa sang "Always My Dad". The audience did not like Johny Rainbow's song, so he ran off the stage and Lisa won.
